Hamstra Carpet One Floor & Home

For over 25 years, Hamstra Carpet One Floor & Home has been a trusted flooring partner to long-term care and retirement communities in Southwestern Ontario. We are a fourth-generation, family-owned business, founded in Strathroy in 1957. Our specialty is commercial sheet vinyl with heat-welded seams and flash coving: a seamless, cleanable surface that runs up the wall to support infection prevention in resident washrooms, tub and spa rooms, serveries and corridors. We also install slip-resistant safety flooring, commercial LVT for suites and lounges, carpet tile, VCT, rubber flooring, stair treads and nosings, entrance matting, rubber and vinyl wall base, and flush, wheelchair-friendly transitions. We handle the full job, from tear-out and disposal to subfloor preparation, levelling and moisture mitigation. Our crews plan phased and after-hours installations around residents, and we turn suites over quickly to keep occupancy moving. We also supply Benjamin Moore paint and Delor window coverings for suites and common areas. As a Carpet One member, we bring national buying power with the accountable, personal service of a local family business.
